Kate Diaz is an LA-based composer-songwriter-producer.

She is currently writing songs and score for a new pop musical.  Kate's recent projects include scoring The Last House Standing (feature documentary), co-scoring The Beachbuds (Disney Hotstar animated series) and two docu-series, as well as working as an arranger on Spidey and His Amazing Friends (Marvel/Disney Jr. animated series).  She also writes music for commercials, trailers, and podcasts.

A multi-instrumentalist, Kate self-produces her scores and songs, playing all instruments and recording/mixing all tracks.

Kate is endorsed by Godin Guitars and has released five albums of original songs.  A performing songwriter from a young age, Kate has played over 300 shows at venues across the country, including at national festivals and as a guest performer of national headliners.  Reviewers describe her as an "accomplished guitar player" with "an astonishing voice" whose songs have "clever lyrical content" and "natural rhythmic flow."

Kate grew up in the Chicago area and moved to LA in 2019 after graduating from Harvard University magna cum laude, as a history/political science major.  She wrote her senior thesis about how film scores amplify social themes in American films. Kate also graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music in 2017 on a merit scholarship, as a Contemporary Writing & Production major and guitar principal.
